The Bikeatoga Workshop
The Bikeatoga Workshop is a volunteer-run bicycle recycling program established to repair used bikes and get them back to people who will ride them.
We are located in the basement of The Church of St. Peter at 241 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY. Visitors can access our shop from the parking lot off Hamilton Street. The entrance is down a small set of stairs.
Given precautions with the COVID-19 pandemic, we are holding Adoption Hours on Thursday’s from 5-8pm and Saturday’s 9am-noon. During these hours, folks may stop by and either adopt a bicycle or meet a mechanic to have minor bike repairs done. We will provide masks and hand sanitizer, and we require visitors and volunteers to wear masks at all times in the workshop. Please review the full list of workshop changes on this web post.
How to Pick Up a Bike from Bikeatoga (given precautions with the COVID-19 pandemic, these programs are on pause until noted otherwise)
Our Earn-a-Bike Program empowers community residents of all ages to earn a bicycle of their own. We require each adult participant to complete 3 hours of work in the workshop to earn a bicycle. Work could include mechanical repairs, maintenance, or cleaning. Our volunteer mechanics are on-hand to help direct bicycle repair. If you are seeking a bicycle for a child under 18, you can pick up a bicycle without “earning” the bike. This program is free of charge.
Bikeatoga sponsors kid bike giveaways in April and December. Please check our calendar for scheduled dates. If your child is in need of a bike outside of those dates, please contact us and we can arrange an appointment (either Thursday 6-8 pm or Saturday 9 am-12 noon ). This program is free of charge.
Please contact us with any questions.
