Companies and organizations with locations in Saratoga County are encouraged to form teams to compete for the following trophies:

Last year, several hundred Saratoga County residents participated in the Bike to Work Challenge and left their cars at home for a day. Many riders reported that this event helped make biking to work a fun and healthy habit. On Friday, May 19th there will be a free breakfast served at The Arts Center, located on the corner of Broadway and Spring Street in Saratoga Springs from 6:30 am – 9:00 am for all bike riders. To register, or to see current standings, click here. CDTC has organized concurrent competitions in Albany, Rensselaer, and Schenectady counties as well.

Bike to School Day

This year we will continue support for Bike to School day, May 9th. By county, the school (up to high school) with the most participating students will be awarded a trophy via the Capital Moves and the CDTA. A parent or teacher must register the school and report how many students rode a bicycle to school on May 10th. Or, schools can wait and celebrate Bike to School Day in conjunction with Bike to Work Day. For registration click here.Note: Colleges and universities should participate under the Bike to Work Week.Educational materials for kids (Sprocket Man comic book, Getting There activity book, and Chuggington safety activity book), and Capital Region Bicycle Commuter Guides are available upon request via the “contact us” link. Schools may request items for Bike to School Day activities, regardless of participation in the Bike to School Challenge.Download your Bike to School Day poster here
