On October 15, Bikeatoga will be hosting an overnight ride from Salem, New York to Lake Catherine State Park in Vermont, our last until next Spring! We will plan to meet at Salem at 1 PM on Saturday, October 15, and plan to return to Salem by noon on Sunday the 16th. The ride is 28 miles, half on roads and half on the gravel Delaware-Hudson Rail Trail. Autumn colors should be well underway. Some of our riders will be riding the 30 miles from Saratoga to Salem, but driving to and starting at Salem, or even the trailhead between Salem and Rupert is totally fine!

Temperatures will likely be cooler, and attendees will need to be sure to bring warm enough clothing and sleeping bags to stay comfortable! Food and shelter will also be required. Some food can be purchased towards the end of the ride in Wells or Granville. A number of goat products can be purchased at a farmstand near Salem. Lake Catherine State Park will be officially closed, but cyclists and pedestrians are permitted to take full advantage of the picnic tables, campsites and lovely lake views.
